EVEN THE SMALLEST THING GIVEN WITH TRUE DEVOTION, PURE SENSE AND WITH A SINGLE-MINDEDNESS HAS IMMENSE, FRUITFUL RESULTS ACCORDING TO ‘APADAANA PALIYA’.

The results of offering flowers

*Bhikku Paduma ruled the Earth seven hundred times and became the Universal Monarch akin to the number of petals in the lotus flower he offered to Padumuththara Buddha and his followers. The result of this good deed helped him to attain Nirvana in the end. (Buddha Wagga – page 193)

*Bhikku Thiuppala Maliya didn’t go to hell for 91 Kappa and was born God Sakra for 300 times, apart of being the Universal Monarch for 500 times for offering 3 lilies to Vipassi Buddha.

The result of this good deed helped him to attain Nirvana in the end. (Apadana 342)

*Bhikku Thikanikarapuppiya, for offering Sumedha Buddha three golden silk cotton flowers(kinihiriya) became the Universal Monarch for 300 times and God Sakra for 500 times apart from getting the following results in every birth.*Bhikkuni Saththuppalamalaka became the wife of God Sakra, the ruler of heaven for 77 times, for offering seven lilies to Sikhi Buddha. She was born with the texture and the scent of that flower in every birth, and finally, the result of that good deed helped her to attain Nirvana. (Theri Apadana-8)

3. Had every sort of vehicles for his use.
4. Had beautiful women and lot of servants.
5. Owned lot of valuable cloths and jewels.
6. Always was respected by others.
7. Always had a glorious reputation.
8. Always had an entourage.
9. No one could split up his followers.
10. Became a hero among relatives.
11. Never was harmed by cold or warm weather.
12. Never had any physical or mental diseases.

Finally, the result of that good deed helped him to attain Nirvana. (501 Apadana)
