A Thai break at the Ritz-Carlton Ritz-Carlton

A Ritz-Carlton resort in Thailand offers meditation walks with a monk, an InterContinental weekend includes a master class with photographer Craig Easton and the Hartstone Inn in Maine has a toboggan-making getaway.

Looking to pack as much relaxation as possible into your getaway? In southern Thailand, Phulay Bay, a Ritz-Carlton Reserve, is offering the Paradise in Balance package. Guests get three nights in one of the resort's Reserve Pool Villas, each of which has its own infinity pool and garden, as well views of the Andaman Sea.

Every morning, there is a private one-hour meditation walk along the shore with a Buddhist Monk from nearby Tiger Cave Temple. If that's not calming enough, the package also includes daily massages and private yoga or Pilates sessions, a raw food cooking class, 24-hour butler service, boat trips, breakfast, lunch and more. From $3,000 for two people, must be booked a week ahead.
