Feb 18 -- Believe it or not, Vietnam is home to the world's first ever amusement park that is decked out in a Buddhism theme.

Located on the outskirts of Ho Chi Minh City, the Suoi Tien Cultural Amusement park has Buddhist temples and statues adorning on many corners of its premises, reported Naver Matome.

The architecture of the park tells not only of Buddhism but also of Vietnamese culture as stories of local legends and folklore get told through its statues and buildings.

It also has a ride that showcases the journey through the 18 Gates of Hell, which is somewhat similar to the Ten Courts of Hell attraction at Haw Par Villa here in Singapore.

The park apparently got its name, Suoi Tien or Fairy Stream in English, from a story about seven sacred girls who died and became faries of the previously-uninhabited land, reported Vietnam Travel and Living Guide.
